i'm sitting here laughing after watching my son get all hyped after he just finished watching "rocky 3". he said he feels like running outside and just fighting someone. it's funny to me because i remember when i was young, the movie theaters used to show karate flicks and a whole bunch of us from the block would get together and go see the latest bruce lee film or some other action flick where the stars were doing karate. and sure enough, every time the movie let out, all the boys would start to do karate on each other! all you saw was kicks and chops and heard them talking like the voice overs done of chinese actors. "you'll pay!" or "you killed my master!" were their favorite sayings.

official rant number one

smh and sighing. ok, so a friend of mines is sharing with me how he sees his neighbor doing a boatload full of laundry and inquires of her why aren't the children doing it like they normally do. (he's wasn't being nosy, he's just used to her children do that chore) anyhoo, she replies that she is on her pastor's aid auxiliary and she has to wash his clothes and no one else can do it but her. *blank look*
she's told that only she can wash his clothes and she must not mix them with her own because his clothes are sanctified. now as much as i don't want to believe this, sadly, i know it's true. unfortunately crap  service like this goes on all the time.

ok, so like today i was having a conversation with a dear friend of mine about the inequalities i see when it comes to how men and women are treated in society and even w/in a christiandom. even though we were formed out of one of adam's ribs being bone of his bone, often times we have been treated like we were taken from the soles of his feet because of how we've been walked upon and stepped on. a few examples come to mind when i think about how unfairly women have been treated in certain cultures and it makes me wanna bow down to the God of all flesh and thank Him profusely for letting me born in a free country, in the 21st century! thank You, Jesus~ hallelujah for your providence.

man, it's so funny~ i had a bunch of things to say in my head and now that i'm confronted with this blank sheet in front of me, i can't think of anything to say but this! so i'm justa typing hoping that by writing this "fluff" i can conjure up my thoughts.... oh, well, no such luck. i'll try back later.

ok, so i figure let me try my hand at blogging again. since everybody and their cousins seems to be at facebook or twitter, i'd mosey on back over here and record my thoughts and see if i get rediscovered.
